5 out of 5 stars Best head set ever and the plug in works on so many different items.   July 29, 2010

This is the second one of these I have owned. Other one had a accident with the van door. They really are the best.

Cannot compare these with the much more expensive competitors, but for me they are great; reasonably priced, compact, decent sound, outside noise cancelling,...and did I mention reasonably priced? Bottom line; good headphones, especially for the price.

i have no complaints about the product, fits well and performs well. Have used it several times on airplanes and been well satisfied for both music and books.

    4 out of 5 stars Needs break-in period!   June 24, 2010

Initially, I thought I had pissed $45 away. I bought these after listening to a friends JVC's (newer model) and was impressed with the sound. Out of the box they sounded horrible. I took them to work and listened to talk radio and to block out background noise. They are as advertised at 75% noise blocking (not as good as Bose, but look at the price). Eventually, the sound warmed up and the base was not muddled. After about 25 hours they sounded fine and are everything I expected.

    GEWACES!
I first got a pair of these about 5 years ago, after being assigned a noisy roommate my freshman year of university. I have fairly small ears, so the size doesn't bother me. They can be a little uncomfortable after a few hours, and the folding hinge on the band can occasionally snag long hair and pull when taking of the set, but you can't have everything I suppose. The model has decent sound quality and noise cancellation - the only issue I had was accidentally killing the battery by neglecting to turn off the cancellation after use. I especially love the retractable cord which keeps my cat from chewing it, unlike any other pair of headphones she's destroyed. The folding design is great for travel. The pair I own was incredibly durable, and survived years of being crammed into backpacks, taken on camping trips, dropped down stairs, being sat on... all manner of abuse. After 4 years of heavy use the cord rewinder got a little screwed up after being dropped the 50 millionth time, but I managed to open up the set, tinker with it a bit, and coax it into working again. Now after year five the left channel's gone out (the right's still great) and I feel it's time for an honourable retirement. I intend to replace them with the same.
