I purchased an hdmi cable from wallmart for 49.99 and later I learned that ALL hdmi cables perform the same (they have to meet standards) I returned the one from uncle wally and I am using this product

I bought this HDMI cable because I've read and heard for a long time that cheap HDMI cables deliver the same quality as expensive ones. After using this cable, this is definitely true. But what this product lacks, is that sometimes when I connect it to my 42" Samsung tv (from my laptop), there is just a green screen and white noise on the display. After a lot of moving the cables around, and reconnecting, this sometimes fixes the problem and establishes an appropriate connection. I'd say that the cable works 85% of the time. But for it's price and quality, I'd recommend getting this.

However note that most machines today do not support this version yet as most of the ports are still based on version 1.3. Having said that, 3D TVs and 3D compatible AVRs with ver1.4 port are already out on the market, for eg Onkyo 608.
