great stock speaker replacement. I replaced all my stock speakers in my 95 mazda that were dry rotted. kenwood makes a set of 6 1/2's that are in the same class. I spent less then $100 and these speakers sound great for the money, just don't expect Boston Acuostic quality.

These speakers produce great bass frequencies as well as highs and mids even just hooked up to an aftermarket HU. Bet they will be even better amped. They go loud without distortion. You will not need a sub unless you want everyone to be annoyed. I do not know why Kenwood would discontinue these to make lower quality items with low sensitivity levels that produce virtually no low frequencies. They had it right with these.

Good speakers, good price. I can't wait to hook up a nice amplifier and really blast some tunes. These speakers sound great, and I know they can handle a lot more volume than the head unit puts out.

With a little welding help from my boyfriend was able to hook up these Kenwood speakers as replacement for factory speakers with no difficulty. The sound is great!

I had these installed in the trunk area of my 2008 Dodge Magnum about a week ago and the sound is awesome. Before I installed this set, I had some infinity 3.5 inch speakers installed in my dash and they completely overpowered my 4 6x9 stock speakers so all the music sounded like it was coming from the front of the car. After installing these in the rear, I could tell the difference right away. They provide perfect balance with great sounding Mids and Highs and solid bass (although I have 2 subs that cover the bass). The sound is very clean and crisp, you won't be disappointed. I loved them so much that I'm buying another set for my front driver and passenger doors (which are also 6x9 despite the fact that they look like they're 6 1/2). I bought them from a car audio place for about $75 installed, definitely worth the price!
