Terrible audio! July 10, 2010 Neofactor (Charlotte, NC) I am usually not a critical person about a product... but these are terrible.
They sound horrible. The apple ones are way better and I hate those from a comfort stance. These are so low in volume - even at MAX setting. Also they have no filling sound.. very tunnel like.
I also did not like the small head... it did not make it easy to adjust or insert.
I ended up ripping the heads open and soldered them onto an old pair of another pair... and they sounded bad there too.. so it is the ear piece that sucks. Wish I could have just returned them... but I had to crack them open to experiment.
I ended up throwing them away... they are of no value.
Even the marshmallow ear foam is not that comfortable. Very disappointed all around.
Simple and comfortable June 2, 2010 Remaining Anonymous ahaha (CA) I'll be brief. These are great, cheap headphones. They fit deep in your ear canal and stay there while being verrry comfortable. The sound is good and well balanced across all frequencies--not too much bass, not too much treble. They're also plenty loud at half volume in most environments. They block some noise but not a lot. The cord is long enough to go from your head to your pants pocket and not much more--perfect for me even though I'm tall, and I also use an athletic arm band a lot so I don't want the cord banging around.
One thing to note: since these go IN your ears, they will get waxy and need basic cleaning every 2-3 uses I'd say.
Not bad... May 10, 2010 A. Gomez (Rolla, MO, USA) I was looking for some fairly cheap earbuds with decent sound quality and these are pretty good. There are reasonably comfortable once you get them in your ears all the way (they take a little bit of wearing in to soften up the foam pieces). The sound quality is decent, with very good bass for such cheap earbuds. The high end is not very good, however, sometimes with a lot of distortion at even low volume levels (I lowered the high end on my EQ to account for this and it sounds a lot better). The only other complaint I have with these is that the cord is a lot shorter than I would like, but they're still easily usable... Overall these where a good buy for the price.
I'm no expert, but... April 26, 2010 A. Arnold 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
...these are NOT what I was expecting. I did lots of research before purchasing these headphones and was impressed by all the great reviews, including those from people using the phones for working out. The first time I wore them, I went on a walk and loved them - great fit, cord length, etc. The sound is just what I wanted.
However, I've taken them to the gym a couple of times and they will not stay in my ears! I'm an audiology student so I know how to put things in my ears (earplugs!) but these slide right out with the tiniest bit of sweat. I have smaller ear canals to begin with (not sure if that makes a difference), so add some sweat and these things will not stay put. It is frustrating to be working out and constantly trying to push them back in.
I am trying to figure out how to return them!
jvc headphones stopped the fight April 19, 2010 Ðïðå 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Over the years, I have searched hither and thither for headphones that would stop the outside world's chaotic unremitting noise. Lots of sets that I had made more of a fight than they were worth. Others could hear my music, and in turn I heard their critical comments. This set, however, put a happy end to my search.
Memory foam, used for everything from headphone covers to stress relievers to mattresses, has been proven again and again to be hyper responsive to temperature. In this case, the temperature sensitivity helps conform the soft covering to the shape of your ear, locking in the music and out the chaos.
try a set and see what you think!
