These headphones are unrivaled among sub $50 sets. They rival the audio technica's that sell for $300! After a short 100 hour break-in period, these cans sound better than any expensive headset I've ever owned!

Pros:
*Comfortable. Great for extended wear like listening to music all day at a programming or other stare-at-the-screen-all-day job.
*Awesome sound!
*Great price!
Pro/Con Depends on the individual:
*Open-Air design (muffs still cover the ear) means it is poor with noise isolation (might be good for stealth eavesdropping though), but it helps the bass.
Con:
*Impedance (ohms) is high. Much Better when hooked up to a home stereo or computer (laptops ok) than a mobile/portable music player, which doesn't output enough power for a high volume (for those that want their music loud).

Was looking into getting a new set of headphones to make use of my X-fi sound card. Headsets just weren't cutting it. The JVC HARX900 headphones are an excellent pair. Good price, very comfortable, and the sound quality is stellar.
The headband is comfortable and spreads the weight evenly across your head. The only slight downside some may have is the size. These things are HUGE. But, since I'm not walking around in public with them, it's fine by me. With this sound quality and comfort, this is a great deal.

These things are amazing when it comes to sound. Great build and they look very good. Professional. The comfort is the only problem I do have with these, I have large ears so maybe that's the case but after a couple of hours (1-2) I have to take them off, they start bothering my ears. For the price I paid though, i can't say that this is a horrible product. Very durable, great noise, great look, headbanger friendly.

First, I am not an audiophile, but I do love listening to various forms of music. The JVC HARX900 is a good value, but I appreciate my Shure products more.
As others have stated, break your headphones in before 'reviewing' your purchase because the sound quality only gets better!
