with my hope running low on earbud headphones, i bought these in March of 2009 and it lasted through to November of that year! (only because i lost them) after 8 months of use they were as good as new, the sound did not alternate between buds and it was crisp. i bought my second pair in December of 2009 and have lasted till now in July '10 (the sound is going away on one side)..thats an average lifespan of 7-8 months, FOR EARBUD HEADPHONES!...for <$10 earbuds, these are a MUST-BUY

I could not stand the Apple iPhone earbuds any longer...muddy mids, low bass, too much treble..made for talking, not for music..
So tried several brands of STUFF IN YOUR EAR models (In-Ear), all price ranges..they all went to my family as for me they ALL made the music sound muddied all over the ranges...I just can not wear this type of earbud for some reason (though to be fair, the SCOSCHE 655s were the best of the lot, and that included the expensive Apple In-Ears)..
So back to old-fashioned earbuds...
Sonys were OK, some too loose, others too much bass, all shorted out quickly...
Then I tried these...AMAZING!!
COMFORTABLE, VERY GOOD SOUND ACROSS THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM WHEN IN THE RIGHT POSITION FOR YOU EARS..
I listen to a lot of classical , and when the music is in 256kbps, these work amazingly well... THE MUSIC SOUNDS NATURAL!!
Try them, you will be surprised!

My black gummy earbuds have lasted for almost 1 1/2 years, and are still working. Sometimes they pop or crackle, but that is because I have used them almost every day since I bought them. (Which was a while ago, as previously stated.) The sound quality is good, but the bass lacks just a bit. I still like them because they are comfortable, reasonably priced, and have decsent sound. Basically, you get what you pay for, which is good.

These ear buds have one of the best sound qualities I have ever heard. Unlike previous ear buds, the gummy textures does not make my ears hurt. It may be cheap but its quality is amazing.

These are great; sound quality and durability are what I was looking for. All other earbuds I purchased only lasted two or three weeks. This is the second set I purchased because the first set sold me.
