Stores try to get you to pay over a hundred dollars for a 15 feet HDMI cable. A HDMI cable is a HDMI cable. Why pay $100 when you can pay $5?

I had purchased a through the wall kit from datacomm to run my tv cords behind the wall. I needed a longer HDMI cable and didn't want to invest much more money on this little project. I had all ready spent about $50.00 for the kit. I was a little leery because these cables where so super cheap, but hey it's only money. I received the cable and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality. The cable was just as good as the 6' expensive cable I was replacing. I could not tell any difference in the picture or sound. Don't hesitate to buy these!

The cable arrived in a non-solid container (shipping bag) which annoyed me a little. For the same price and essentially the same cable, I received another HDMI cable (about a month ago) from a different vendor, and it came in an actual box via USPS. I'd rather that my goods haven't gotten their butts kicked on their way to my house. That being said, it seems to have survived intact and the cable is working just fine. For the price you can't really whine about construction quality but I rated it a 3. I'm using the cable to connect my bedroom TV (which is a 32" Sharp Aquos) as a "third" monitor to my PC, on which I watch a lot of downloaded high definition programming. I'm not asking much of the cable as it's carrying at most 720P resolution video and simply stereo audio. I probably would buy a better built cable to run my actual home theater but I could see using one of these for that application and forgetting all about it until I had a problem. I'm not a cable junkie and don't believe in overspending on them. I believe in the 10% rule (spend 10% of your entire "setup" on all your cabling.) I think it's a good rule to shop by in the ever increasingly diverse product/vendor arena.

I had my doubts but this cable works just as well as my $60 HDMI cable. It looks a lot thinnner but quality wise...it is just fine. You can't beat the price!

Why pay for an expensive cable when you can get a cheaper one that does the exact same thing! Don't get persuaded into buying $$$ cables from you local retailer. The cable does not matter... it carries a signal from point a to b and that's what counts!

Vuzix iWear VR920 HMD Head Tracking in Quake 4 VR - Virtual Reality -
Demo of Quake 4 using the VR920 HMD and Wireless Xbox 360 Receiver/Controller. Thanks for your interest! The video I posted shows use of the VR920 HMD for head tracking in Quake 4 on PC. (Not Xbox 360) The HMD is connected and configured with my Alienware Aurora m9700 (laptop). I connect the PC to the TV with a DVI to HDMI cable. (So everyone can watch) I connect the PC audio with a digital audio cable to a surround sound receiver. I use the Wireless Xbox 360 Receiver/Controller (Requires 1 USB port on PC). I sync the Xbox 360 controller to the Receiver and run JoyToKey. I use a keyboard emulator for joysticks called JoyToKey to assign keyboard keys to the any button on the controller I wish. I can also use the analog joysticks to move or look (Use look only to turn around when the HMD cord runs out). I connect and calibrate the HMD with the Vuzix iWear software. (Requires 1 USB port and VGA port on PC) I install Quake 4. I add the files provided by Vuzix required to enable the HMD into the Quake 4 install directory. I add Quake 4 to enabled titles list with the iWear monitor. I configure my primary display to the VR920 and clone to the TV. I start Quake 4. (requires one time configure of game controls to JoyToKey profile) Enable VR headtracking or 3D. (I found with 3D enabled video fps is lower) VR AT IT'S BEST SO FAR!!!
