When we received the item, we put it on the charger, and when connecting it to our camera we turned it on about 5 seconds later it shut off. so we contacted the company and told them what happened. They had us send it back then returned it about a week later. Still didn't work. So we sent it back again and asked for a refund. They said they would give us a refund, we haven't gotten it yet, but the customer service was very good and easy to work with.

If you like to record for hours without worrying about a drained battery just when that special moment happens, this product is the best option. I have purchased extra batteries before, but this is a deal that can't be beat. I was a little concern about the extra wire coming from the battery itself, but this turned out to the saving grace. Depending on which JVC model you have it may work without it, but for mine the battery didn't function when I tried to use it the first time. I immediately thought that I would be sending it back for a refund, but then plugged the wire coming from the battery into the camcorder and it's been magic ever since....

I purchased this battery combo but it didn't work in my JVC-Everio MG-130 ( it might work for newer Everio's). My camcorder came on, displayed a battery error message and turned off. I had no problems returning it for a refund.
